             What signs of Spring do you see?   The flowers are blooming outside.    I see yellow, pink and green in spring.      The birds are coming back from migrating south.      I see purple and yellow flowers.    The buds are opening up into flowers.     Mrs. Hoy's Spring Writing My spring senses are tingling and noticing the beginning of the spring's transformation. I hear the noisy birds chirping and bustling around hunting for worms. I smell the fresh moist rainy air. The crisp cool breeze doesn't bite my nose anymore and feels invigorating. I see signs a sprouting buds on the trees and the tips of green plants pushing out of the soggy ground. Yellow Daffodils are opening up with the bright color of sunshine. The signs of spring are everywhere, can you sense them too?

     Why Do We Dress Up on Purim?         Here is a sampling of the story: The  king wanted his wife to come to a party ; she did not want to, and she was killed. Then an  evil man wanted the Jews dead  and plotted to accomplish this with the approval of the king. The king remarried, and his new queen happened to be Jewish, and arranged for the decree to be  countered . Only after the fact, when one looks at the entire story, does one realize the great miracle that transpired.  The  Talmud  writes that just as the Jews at the time pretended to be serving other gods,  G‑d  pretended that He was going to destroy the Jewish nation, and in the end He did not. The important thing about community helpers is they work together to create a community. Community helpers are important people whose job is to help others. Everyone who lives in a community can be a community helper.   Who keeps people safe?     Who keeps people healthy?                          Community helpers  are people who live and work in our  communities .  Community helpers make communities  cleaner, safer, and more pleasant for other people. They  do  many different things to  help us  every day. They provide  us  with goods (products we use) and services (things they  do  for  us ).  People in communities might go to the same schools, shop in the same stores and do the same things. Brrrr It's cold outside.   What do the animals do to keep warm in the Winter? Adaptation We learned some animals stay all winter and adapt to the cold  by growing thicker fur, hiding food and making their home warmer by adding leaves and fur.  They hunt or look for food all day long in the cold and snow.  Hibernation A lot of animals sleep all winter deep in their dens and burrows.   This is called hibernation and the animals goes into a deep sleep  with their heart and breath very slow. They do not eat or poop. Migration is where an animal travels to a warmer part of the country or south in America.  Butterflies, and many birds can not live in the cold temperature.   They need to eat bugs, or plant seeds and flower nectar.
